ISO Gala - Draycote Water SC (23rd & 24th March 2002)

Draycote Water Sailing Club hosted the first ISO circuit event of 2002 over the weekend of 23rd & 24th March.

Racing started just after midday on Saturday in a light and variable breeze that rarely exceeded 5 knots.

Despite the small fleet racing was close with several new faces in attendance.

Ian & Katie Keam-George chose the right side of the first beat in race 1 and sailed into a big lead by the first mark and were never caught. Mike & Andrew Perry took second place after a hard race with circuit rookies Matt Levell and Diana Milne who finished third.

ISO Inlands / Gala - Datchet Water SC (12th & 13th October 2002)

Despite grey skies and a half empty reservoir eighteen ISOs' enjoyed close racing and good breeze. The event was once again dominated by Team RWO, but
both Ross Ashton \ Chris Birch [822]and Jony Wells \ "Bugsy" [1176] proving that they are beatable.

Day one was breezy with a short course set across the reservoir testing everyones boat handling to the full. All races got away cleanly, RWO taking first from Penny Gordon\Brian Greensmith [773] with Mike and Dean Lillywhite [815] in third.

ISO Nationals - Highcliffe SC (27th - 29th July 2002)

The 2002 Iso Nationals was held at Highcliffe Sailing Club in Dorset on 27th-29th July. 23 boats attended a well-run joint event with the Bosses & Buzzes, with Highcliffe proving that running a successful nationals is as easy as 2-1-3! All 8 of the scheduled races were completed in mostly light variable winds and a fair amount of sunshine.

Race 1 was slightly delayed due to a mix-up with the flags and the starting order, but once underway in light to medium airs a precedence for the weekend was firmly established with Team RWO, Pete Lindley/Jonny Backhouse (1013) taking first place from Ian & Katie Keam-George (1188) in second. Johnathan Wells/Richard Beechey (1176) were third with Nick & Owen Bolding (555) fourth.
