ISO Gala - Brightlingsea SC (13th / 14th May 2006)

Sun and light, shifty winds with several knots of tide greeted the fleet. Keam-Georges returned to win the opening race hotly pursued by Walker / Keam-George making it a family affair. Race 2 went the opposite way with Neil Pryde 1 taking line honours followed by Howlett / Newport in a well deserved 2nd place after a last leg wind shift turned the reach into a F3 beat.

With the strengthened wind Cousin Trestec cleared the line with a port end flyer and held a commanding lead for the first round. Walker / Keam-George hit back in the second round but fell away to let Neil Pryde 1 challenge Cousin Trestec's lead, culminating in a fast tactical boat on boat reach to the line.

Sunday remained light and even more shifty suiting Neil Pryde 1, taking all three races with an impressive margin. This left Cousin Trestec to fight off National Champ Walker to take 2nd in race 4 with Howlett / Newport bringing up the rear. Race 5 and fortunes changed again with Walker taking 2nd from Keam-Georges.

Final race and Neil Pryde 1 again walked away with it leaving Walker in Neil Pryde 2 to take 2nd from Cousin Trestec
